Due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus in Sri Lanka during this third wave, many areas are under lockdown for more than two weeks and it is further extended in some areas. This created a great need to ensure the food security of families living on daily earnings. There are many families of low socio economic level which are severely impacted and are expecting dry ration assistance from government, NGOs, charities and individual well-wishers.

Engineers Charity Fund recently funded a sum of $21000 (LKR 31.7 Million) to Ramakrishna Mission to deliver emergency relief measures (Dry Rations – Rs.2000 per pack) to the affected families of low socio economic level in the following areas through their Welfare Centres/ Well Wishers etc.
